Lawrence Alloway Memorial Gallery is named after English-born American curator and art critic who coined the term “pop art.”
From 1968 to 1981, he was a professor of art history at Stony Brook University, where he co-founded the magazine Art Criticism with the critic, Professor Emeritus Donald Kuspit.
The gallery is dedicated specifically to the exhibition of work by SBU Art M.F.A. students.
Located on the ground floor of Melville Library Building at Stony Brook University.
