Tour 1 starts at the Skylight Gallery in Wang Center at 3 pm on Thursday, September 10, continues to the Alloway Gallery in Melville Library Building and ends at the Simons Center Gallery with a reception.

Tour 2 starts at the Alloway Gallery in Melville Library Building at 3 pm on Wednesday, November 18, continues to the Zodiac Gallery in Wang Center and ends at the Zuccaire Gallery in Staller Center with a reception.

The Paul W. Zuccaire Gallery is pleased to present an Artist Talk panel discussion in conjunction with the exhibition Form and Facture: New Painting and Sculpture from New York. Presenting new work by six New York artists, Form and Facture delves into the conceptual and aesthetic concerns of contemporary abstraction. The exhibition features large-scale paintings and sculptures by Rachel Beach, Paul Behnke, Matthew Neil Gehring, Osamu Kobayashi, Rebecca Murtaugh and Fran O’Neill. The Artist Talk features several of the artists discussing their work on view in the exhibition.

The Artist Talk is generously sponsored by the Staller Center for the Arts and is free and open to the public.

The Artist Talk is in conjunction with the exhibition Kate Gilmore: Top Drawer at the Paul W. Zuccaire Gallery, Staller Center for the Arts, on view from Sept 6 – Oct 18, 2014. In addition to the Artist Talk, please join us for a Reception and Performance on Saturday, September 27, 6-8pm.

Kate Gilmore’s video, sculpture, performance and installation work is shown internationally, including the Whitney Biennial, MoMA PS1, J. Paul Getty Museum, and in London, Madrid, and Turin. Her work is in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art, Brooklyn Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Gilmore holds an MFA from the School of Visual Arts and is Associate Professor of Art and Design at SUNY Purchase College.
