The Sound Transit Central Link Project is a collaboration of visual artists, architects, landscape architects and other design professionals assigned to create the new light rail system for the Puget Sound Transit Authority. The visual art team’s task is not only to design the art elements of each station, but also to develop a conceptual framework that will connect and enhance system-wide transportation characteristics through art and art related features.  As individuals and collaborators, the visual art team developed the concepts and designs for aerial guideways, landscaping, lighting, overhead catenary systems, station markers, trackways, and sound.
